News

September is upon us and what a wonderful month this is going to be while we are finishing the work on our new facility. God is growing this church in the body of Christ at an incredible pace!  As you know, we had to step back at the first of the year in order to move forward in Gods plan for His vision to touch the lives of those who are at a crossroads.

Many are going through hard times under the current economy and strife in the world, as I'm sure some of our readers are, too. God is about to give you direction to help you through your difficult season if you only have faith and commit to action! Crossroads World Christian Center Church is being built for such a time as this.

We are in a Phase 1 Plan: 6 to 8 months to gather the people to attend at our new facility.  Please consider being a part of this amazing process, and check back at this site for our progress reports...helping others will uplift you and we can use your help in every way!

Please consider helping to furnish our new facility by donating a chair through our new "That's My Chair!" campaign, or by becoming a partner with us in one of the following ways:

We have a new ministry to introduce to you called Divine Daughters of Destiny. This was founded and is directed by Lynn Hunter, a new board member of Crossroads WCCC, to fulfill a desperate need she saw for spiritual direction of teen girls in the Columbus metropolitan area, and is an area of ministry that sadly, is not addressed by many churches because of the challenging and difficult nature of the daily circumstances facing our teen daughters. Please stay tuned for more information that will be coming forth about this wonderful ministry for young ladies and please keep Lynn, these wonderful girls and this awesome ministry in your prayers.

We also want to introduce you to one of our other new board members of Crossroads World Christian Center Church, Matt Miller. Please take a few minutes to read a short bio on him, as I see God working through this young man's life to touch other people's lives in order to help them find the light in their homes and finances.

God took one of his warriors home last week.   Melissa Thompson was the Asst. G.M. at Wal-Mart Distribution Center in Grove City Ohio, the place I have worked at for over 10 years now.  I saw Melissa work her way up to the honored position, one that she well deserved. I believed God had her in that position for a reason…not only was she doing her job, but she touched so many peoples lives in a positive way every day while she was doing it. I would not be where I am today if it wasn't for Melissa's encouraging me to work harder at what I am doing. One thing she said to me not long after I told her about this ministry and Parenting Pathways really made a profound impact on me.  One day, she looked at me with one hand on my shoulders and said, "There's no one better to do this Cory, than you because you've been through it." I will never forget this amazing woman of God.

A Word from the Pastor

Commit to be fit…
for God's plan and purpose for your life.
"Commit thy way unto the Lord: trust also in Him; and He shall bring it to pass.''
 ~Psalms 37:5

God has a plan and a purpose for your life! He has lots of good things he wants to give you that will bring great joy and prosperity to your life. Are you ready for it? Are you ready to be exceedingly and abundantly blessed? Are you ready to commit?

If you are ready to commit to God and follow the path of righteousness, then God is ready to give you your heart's desires.  Learning how to commit and follow through on that commitment to get fit for God's plan is essential. Some of us have a hard time with committing to anything, but this is what we must do to have the abundances of God. In God's Word, it tells us that we need to "Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established." ~Proverbs 16:3

The online Merriam-Webster Dictionary says that the Word commit means 1: to put into charge or trust, 2: to carry into action deliberately, 3a: OBLIGATE, BIND <a contract committing the company to complete the project on time> or b: to pledge or assign to some particular course or use.

When I was in High School, one of the sports I participated in was track and field. At the beginning of every season, our coach would have a triathlon and watch us to see where our talents were both individually and as a team as a whole. I loved running short distances, but my coach saw a different strength in me, as a mid-distance runner.  In my eyes, this was very hard and not appealing to me because you had to run extremely long distances to train for these events, not something I was happy about or very enthusiastic to committing to!  Never the less, I did has my coach instructed and became a mid-distance runner, which ultimately helped me receive some medals and helped our team to win a couple of conference titles.

That coach saw in us abilities that we ourselves could not see and, in some cases, abilities we didn't want; his plan for us was different than we had envisioned for ourselves, much as God sees us every day.  Our coach was a brilliant man, knowing that if he could only get us to commit to the work involved, that would build us to the level of fitness we needed to be at and it would pay off for us as individuals and as a team in the end. That was a life lesson to me that reached way beyond the sports arena!

Much like my track coach, God also knows that if He can get us to simply commit to the work of getting spiritually fit and putting actions to the tasks it takes to be so, we will excel in His plan for our lives.

EVERY circumstance in your life is geared toward giving you the opportunity to make a choice towards fulfilling that plan, and we can choose to take the long road, or we can make the commitment and move forward in that plan now. It's all about free will...commit your work unto the Lord and watch what goodness he will bring to your life and the lives of others due to your action on that commitment!

Commit to your Family!
Commit to your Church!
Commit to volunteer!
Commit to touch another person's life by putting action behind the plan and purpose that God has for your life!

May God Richly Bless You and Yours Always,

Pastor Cory P. Pariseau
