News...

Our next Sunday Celebration is going to be a great one!   This will be on November 20, 2005 at 10:30 a.m.  Please invite all your family and friends  to join us for our Thanksgiving Celebration and Potluck, as God is truly touching the hearts and minds of families who have been attending.  We're looking forward to seeing you there, please join us in giving thanks to the Lord in this holiday season!

God has placed it on my heart to start a program here at Crossroads that will touch families' lives and help those families that are stuck in a Children's Services System. Parenting Pathways, Inc. is an Outreach Ministry of Crossroads World Christian Center Church and is a program that will touch and heal those families' lives, as well as bettering the parenting skills of those parents who would like to work on theirs. Currently, we are working on developing partnerships for the further development of this program and have had promising contacts with several organizations and individuals regarding funding, facilities and operational needs of the program, as well as wonderful help, advice and input on procedural issues and mentorship. Parenting Pathways is well on its way to serving and we're very thankful to all of the people and organizations that have helped so far!

A Word from the Pastor...

A THANKFUL SEASON!

 Colossians 3:15
Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful

In God's Love
I thank the Lord in every way in trees and doves and hills and plains for the air and sea and sky above for the leaves that fall and the morning sun That's all there is there is no more for in Gods Love we are ALL counted as one.
by Cory Pariseau, 5th Grade

I wrote the poem above when I was in 5th grade while on a field trip with our school at a wooded park. I still have the paper in my scrapbook that our Mom made us make for ourselves. At a young age and even with all the hurt and pains I was going through as a child, I still could feel God's presence with me, especially if I was in our church at Hillside Chapel or in nature in the woods walking.

We are stepping into one of my favorite seasons! Fall/autumn is a season for change as the trees start to show the artwork of God. The leaves start springing forth new color, then falling as nature prepares to take them into their winter sleep.  Even though things are falling away and dying in these months, I become thankful…thankful for all the things God is showing us in this season; can you see them? Can you see why we need to be thankful in this season?

I had forgotten about this poem I wrote.  If it wasn't for my mom telling me to save it in the scrap book, I might not have come past it again. But there is a reason for everything and a season for everything, as God tells us in His word.

 Ecclesiastes 3:1
To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven:

Let me give you 3 of my reasons way I am so Thankful in this season:

 1.    God is letting us know about CHANGE; as the leaves change colors so do we. We have to be able to change once in a while to please Him and to make our lives better.

 2.    God is letting things FALL; as we change, things have to fall away from us, those old things we used to do that are no longer good for us.

 3.    God is PREPARING; with all the changing and falling away, I know that God is preparing something new in my life, and I know He is preparing something new for your life too, for in God's love we ALL are counted as One.

 Acts 14:17
Yet he has not left himself without testimony: He has shown kindness by giving you rain from heaven and crops in their seasons ; he provides you with plenty of food and fills your hearts with joy.

For all he has done for us here at Crossroads World Christian Center Church and for all of our friends and partners of this Ministry, I am so grateful to be in His service.

May God Richly Bless You and Yours Always,

Pastor Cory P. Pariseau
