A Word from the Pastor
The word this month comes from a dear friend of mine and a member of Crossroads World Christian Center Church. She is the Director of Ministry Development here and Founder of the Divine Daughters of Destiny youth enrichment group. Please enjoy Lynn Hunter's
"Jesus is the Reason for the Season" below. "Jesus is the Reason for the Season" by Lynn Hunter
As the end of 2009 quickly approaches and the holiday season nears, let us not forget, "Jesus is the reason for the season." It is great
joy to put up decorative Christmas trees and arrange beautiful lights and other festive decoration. But we must remember the heart of Jesus who died on Calvary for your sins and mine. During this time of giving, and as
we make sacrifices to purchase gifts for family and friends, let us remember, "Jesus is the reason for the season" and the sacrifice that was made.
The Word of God says in John 3:16, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."
Isn't that a great sacrifice that God loves us soooo much that he gave His only Son? As we hustle and bustle, let us not be selfish, but be mindful, about how we can give a
sacrificial gift to Jesus. Remember, "Jesus is the reason for the season." This Christmas celebration is about Him. If you have not given your life to Christ, pray and
seek Him, for He is good, better that any earthly gift we could ever receive. Give Jesus His gift today….You!!!! Salvation is free. HE IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON
