News What a beautiful time of year June is here in
Ohio! The flowers are in full bloom and the world is filled with the glorious colors of God. I am so excited to come to you with the news of what the Lord is doing here at Crossroads WCCC. God has a plan and
purpose for our lives. If we choose to listen and follow Him, He will direct our pathways. Make sure to check out the Word from the Pastor below for an important word on this.
One of our ministry groups, Parenting Pathways
, is growing and taking off with many people interested in it and how they can help. We've spoken at various parenting and childrens services oriented conferences and events, and the networking that's
occurred as a result has been incredible in beginning to make the program grow at a pace that we never imagined! Please pray for us.
The biggest surprise this month, is the kids youth enrichment program CrossKIDZ, which has grown from 3 to 6 to over 16 to 20 kids attending
on Thursday evenings and with school now out for the summer, kids have been coming by the church looking for things to do all through the week, too. One of our goals has been to provide a safe atmosphere for the kids to hang out in their off school time that would provide access to computers and activities, as well as positive adult guidance. Any
donations
you can give to help with supplies, snacks and activities for the program would be appreciated.We had a wonderful time at The Pariseau Family and Friends Homecoming Celebration
this year! What an awesome turnout by the Pariseau family, as we came from all over. Seeing the faces of those we love (as we all get a little older, but a lot wiser!) was truly a joy. We celebrated Donna Pariseau's birthday, "Penny" to some, Mom to most, as well as Leanne Washington's graduating from college, hallelujah! We also celebrated some soon to be new arrivals, as Vicki and Amanda are both expecting little ones soon. A big thank you to Hillside Chapel for hosting this event! I have received so many comments on how welcome people felt and how kind and loving and helpful people were from Hillside. Thank you again Hillside Chapel, its all in the family. We'd love to see YOU all there next year!
Pastor Pariseau is going back to school.
Yes, you read right, going back to school. I feel the yearning to learn more, to gather up more knowledge and wisdom in order to help expand His kingdom. I have been praying over this for years, and feel now is the time God has placed in me to do this. I will be taking classes at
Columbus State as well as at Ohio Christian University
starting this fall. I ask for your support in prayers and any donations you might be able to make to help with the cost of the schooling…but mostly your prayers! A Word from the Pastor God's Plan & Purpose for Your Life

He has a purpose for you. There is a reason for why we are here individually; each life has a planned purpose of its own. Because our vision is limited, sometimes it takes hindsight to learn that not only is our plan individual, but in the bigger picture, it is entwined with the plan He has for others, too. There is a reason why you are around the people you're around. There's a reason for why they leave, why they come back, and why some stay in your life with consistency.
Now, by choice, we sometimes get off track through some mistake and errors on our part, but that is o.k. because God has already planned for your mistakes
and has set the scene to put you back on track. Let me say that again God had already planned for your mistakes and to help put you back on track. Get excited, because it is about to get good.
God allows us to have free will – that is, to make choices - and that is a gift. You are allowed to decide whether to follow His word or not to follow His word, it is a choice. Because he allows us free
will, even when we make the wrong choice, He still loves us. No matter what, He will still love you through all your wrong choices and even when we put others in front of Him instead of listening to Him. God
has a plan and a purpose for your life, if you only will choose to listen to His voice, His Word. God places people in your life for a reason. I was told a story about this little white girl
who lived in southeastern Ohio. Her father was an electrician, her mother a stay at home mom. God had a plan and a purpose for her life. When she was young, she used to go on top of a
grass hill and sit with a friend on Sundays to listen to Little Black Baptist Church sermons that she could hear below the hill. As she listened to the singing and preaching, she knew that God had a plan and
a purpose for her life. This girl helped raise her 6 brothers and sisters and went to Boston to college, even though her father said to her that they didn't have enough money to send her to college. God made
the way out of what seemed like chance. Soon, she met a young man and got married. God had a unified plan and a purpose for their lives together
as well. They went to the doctor, who told them they could not have kids. She said that's o.k., I will adopt. So they did adopt a little boy that they loved and care for as their own. Soon, they adopted another little boy and moved back to southeast Ohio, where they bought an old, warn down farm on top of a familiar hill.
God had a plan and a purpose for her life.
She joined a foster care organization and they started bringing kids who where hurt and abused to that worn down farm. They went on to foster many kids, adopting 16 of them! But God wasn't
finished with her yet, He still had a plan and purpose for her life. She fell ill, feeling like she had a virus. She went to the doctor and he told her she didn't have a virus…she was pregnant! She looked at
the doctor and asked, "Well, how did that happen?!" The doctor looked at her husband and said, "You are going have to ask him!" Two years later, she had another 'virus'. Again, she went to the doctor and he
told her she was pregnant. Again and she asked, "How did that happen?" The doctor told her that if she did not know by now, he wasn't going to tell her!
God had a plan and a purpose for her life. He had a plan just for
that little girl whose father was an electrician. He had a plan for the woman who fostered and adopted 16 kids. He had a plan for the woman who had two biological children when the doctors said that she could not have any (she now has 18 kids all together). I am proud and so very blessed to say that she is my mother, Donna Pariseau and that somehow, God included me in that plan and purpose for her life.
