News What an outpouring of love we have been receiving here at
Crossroads World Christian Center Church in this New month of June! We are walking into this new season of CHANCE (
January Newsletter), boldly taking back what the enemy has stolen and setting a New Mark for our faith in God. Our Thursday CrossWORDS and CrossKIDZ
combined Bible studies have been awesome! We're studying a series on "One Anothering," exploring and expanding on the commandment given to us by Jesus Christ to love one another and what that truly means. The presence of God at these studies has been absolutely amazing...we'd love for you to join us!
THANK YOU! I would like to thank Pastor Jim & Isabel Mullet and the Hillside Chapel Church family for having us on Sunday May 29th
and for hosting the first annual Pariseau Family & Friends Homecoming. We are praying that this will be the first of many gatherings of these families and churches to come! We had a wonderful time in worship and fellowship and the home cooking was GREAT! We celebrated my mother, Penny Pariseau's birthday and honored her for raising 18 children…what a blessing she is in my life and I know, in many others people's lives.
Thanks to those of you who are making online donations, your support is so
needed and appreciated! We'd also like to thank those who are participating in our Pennies from Heaven
Building Fund campaign! As of now we have 5 jars out and are looking forward to sending out many more! If you can set a jar out to collect change for donations, please contact us.For any that missed

for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom." ~Luke 12:32 (KJV)
Letting Go and Letting God WorkI used to carry a poem in my wallet that now sits on my desk. I forget who gave it to me...I want to say it
was my father who passed away sometime ago, or possibly from my mother, who is always feeding me spiritually! It could have been my best friend, who always shows up on time! It's hard to remember for sure because
God blesses me daily with so many beautiful, wise and supportive souls in my life. At any rate, the poem goes like this: Let Go and Let God As children bring their broken toys,
with toys for us to mend, I brought my broken dreams to God, because He is my friend. But then instead of leaving Him in peace to work alone, I hung around and tried to help,
with ways that were my own. At last, I snatched them back again and cried, "How can you be so slow?" "My child," He said, "What could I do? you never did let go." ~Author unknown This past week has been a trying time for me as a young Pastor and a single father of three growing children. It seems it has been for many others, too! I've received many emails this week from people
and I want to thank you for that, it's always
a blessing to me to be part of your lives. Some of the people are musing, some are down right distraught over family battles and some are from those who are just simply at a crossroads in thier lives and are trying to figure out which road will lead them in the right direction at this time. Our battles can be trying, and sometimes knowing you're not alone can be such a comfort in itself, so please know…you are NOT alone! Myself and many others are praying for you and we understand completely how hard life can be, and so does God. It seems that especially when you're working towards a closer relationship with God, it's an open opportunity for the devil to jump in and fight harder than ever for your very soul!
As I took the needs and prayer requests that came through in the past week up to our heavenly Father in prayer, I asked Him what I could do to help the ones who are hurting inside. What He revealed
to me set the lesson in what I am about to tell you. LET GO. Yes, that's right…you have to LET GO. If you think about it, a lot of our problems and stresses are over letting things go
in the first place. Our battles are constantly forcing
us to let material things, people, problems and even some spiritual things that we've been working on go. It's easy to go into the mode of feeling like a failure simply because you had to let something go for now and find your self working harder than ever at trying
not
to let go because of feeling that way. It's SO important to put these situations into perspective! If our battles are constantly forcing us in the direction of letting some things go that we'd really rather not, that says
so much about what God's trying to teach us as far as the necessity of giving the situation to HIM and leaving it there. This is effectively what God revealed to me this week:
"Let go and let ME do my part of the work. If you don't, you're hindering your own ability to go to the next level that I'm trying to bring you to! Because I gave you free will, I will only do that if you let me."
In my own life, I came to a point where I just could not seem to help a certain person who I cared for and worried over very much. I gave them over to God...or so I thought! Little did I know, I
hadn't really
let go. Instead, I kept throwing ropes out to try and save this "drowning" person thinking I was helping out. Problem was, pretty soon I held the other end of so many ropes, that they began to take me under too! It wasn't long before that person was an everyday part of my life again and the problems - both theirs and mine - got continually worse. For all my well intentioned efforts, continually trying to rescue this person was actually
hurting them…and hurting me. After all, who am I to try and step in to try and take the place of the Almighty, who's the only
one that could possibly help in a situation so difficult, especially after I've prayed and asked Him for help? I realized I was setting this person and myself up for a much harder and longer road, and all the while God was standing by just waiting for me to step aside and
really give it to Him so that He could bring us both to the next level. God wants to give you your dreams and the desires of your heart, but you have to Let Go and Let God do
His work. The Bible tells us in Isaiah 43:18 (NKJV): "Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old." Once you pray it up, leave it there. Really
leave it there. It is now an old problem to you and God is hard at work on your behalf cutting away at the ropes that have been weighing you down. Don't keep going back to it and trying to work it out your self, whatever it is leave it with the Lord. Holding on emotionally to your problems after praying on them only leads to bigger problems, fights, heartbreaks, frustration, and the hindrance of the power of God to work in your life.
If you feel you don't know how to pray and leave it, or if you simply want someone to come into agreement with you in prayer over the problem, please call us toll free at 1-888-383-4321 ext. 3 and also
feel free to visit us on our website and send us your prayer requests
. Remember: He will work it out! Let it Go…and Let God!May God Richly Bless You and Yours Always, Pastor Cory P. Pariseau Crossroads World Christian Center Church
