A Word from the Pastor Believing
If two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything That they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my father Which is in heaven.
~Matthew 18:19 Last month I came to you with 'I believe in Miracles.' God wants you to understand that even the little things are miracles, things that we take for granted. As I was going through the end of
last month and asking God what to write about in April, He started to reveal to me this revelation that before you see a miracle, you have to believe.
Well what does believe mean in the dictionary? It says to have a firm conviction as to the goodness, efficacy, or ability of something and goes on to say a :
to have a firm religious faith b : to accept as true, genuine, or real.
So what is it to believe? To hope, to pray, to have faith, is what it means. In the word of God it says that faith is evidence of things that are hoped for, for things that are not seen.
I believe; therefore I see the miracles in my life. Last week we were at a conference, and as I was about to get introduced to speak, the speaker said something that made me see God in my
life. As she was talking, she mentioned a lady's name (Judith), and she said that Judith had advocated for me all my life (which is so true). As she continued talking, I remembered this lady and all she had
done to lead, encourage and inspire me…and knowing my life, she had to
see something in me and my brother and sisters to never give up on us! With everything that was said about us, Judith believed that we were better than what was being said. She believed in us so much that she took it to a personal level in finding us homes, hoping, praying and having continuous faith that all would turn out good.
I believe that she is one of the miracles that God has placed in my life in order to show me how to learn, to hope, to pray, and to not give up.
Thank you God, for Judith and for using her as a vessel to teach me how to believe! Thank you God for letting me see clearly that she is, indeed, a miracle in my life! And thank you Judith, for the love, time, dedication, inspiration and so much more you've brought into my life!
Who in your life do you see that makes you believe in more? Parents? Family members? Teachers? Pastor? Friends? Take a look through your prospects, if you look for them, they are there if you
believe and allow yourself to see it. On this Easter Sunday as God gave his best to us, give your best to those who have not given up on you. Let them know they made a difference in your life because they believed in you.
