God Has a Good Work for YOU!
Then I said to them, "You see the trouble we are in: Jerusalem lies in ruins, and its gates
have been burned with fire. Come, let us rebuild the wall of Jerusalem, and we will no longer be in disgrace."
I also told them about the gracious hand of my God upon me and what the king had said to me. They replied, "Let us start rebuilding." So they began this good work.
~Nehemiah 2:17-18 (New International Version)
The Glory of the Lord is our strength and he has a good work ready for you to do. What is it in your life that you are going through?
In the above verses, Jerusalem lied in ruins because of her enemies declaring war and trying to destroy that great city. But God had a
plan. He planted that plan in Nehemiah and gave him a passion to rebuild the Great Wall around Jerusalem, a plan to rebuild the walls
out of ash and disgrace. God's hand was upon Nehemiah so that he could begin the good work – and he did!
No matter how bleak it may seem in your life, even if disgrace has fallen upon you, God has grace to see you through if you feel like your
life is in ruins and trouble is all around you. Let me tell you something dear heart: God is not finished with you yet. In fact, He is about
to start rebuilding what the enemy is trying to destroy. No matter what you are going through, God has a good work building inside of you right here and now.
Your problem might be a family member that you are having a hard time with it, or it could
be a co-worker or a friend…no matter what it is, He is going to see you through it and you're going to come out better, more refreshed, more refined by the time it's all over. I understand
all too well when the walls of a friendship or a wall of a family relationship comes down where they will use you and tell lies upon you. The pain is real and the tears are real the
sleepless nights wondering when the pain and heart break will ever end are real. Know that this is a temporary state and that nothing you did brought this on except for you loving them.
Here, the thing is that we have to let it go and let God have His way in our lives, so that he can rebuild the walls of our lives again.
So many times we want to take control and try to mend things ourselves. No beloved, let God rebuild this wall; for God is able to do a good work, and it will be a solid wall. Whether that
be a solid wall of friendship or solid wall of family or any other thing you experience as a barrier.
God will do a good work inside you. All you have to do is to have faith, put that into action, and get out of His way.
May God Richly Bless You and Yours Always,
