News...

Our next Sunday Celebration is going to be a great one!   This will be on October 16, 2005 at 10:30 a.m.  Please invite all your family and friends including the men in your lives...God is truly going to touch the hearts and minds of families, parents and especially the fathers that attend.  The title of the message for this service will be, "A Reflection of the Father."  We're looking forward to seeing you there, please join us!

FOUNDATION OF A NEW BEGINNING

What a joy it is coming to you again this month to share the great things that God is doing for us!  Here at Crossroads World Christian Center Church, we are building a foundation of a new beginning in learning The Word of God so that we can carry forth His vision for His plan for this church.

Our last Sunday Celebration on September 16th was God driven, in our learning to start over and trust in Him.  Tammy Riffe from Johnstown, Ohio was our guest speaker for this service.  She gave an awesome testimony of the trials and tribulations she has gone through as a wife, a mother, and daughter and a child of God.  One of the most moving parts in her message was her telling about finding out that the way she was communicating with her children was not what she wanted to show them.  As she shared with us, she learned how to change so that she could show them the face of God.  I want to thank Tammy and her daughter Whitney Riffe again for their support in coming down and sharing their gifts with us!

With a foundation of a new beginning, God wants you to have a fresh start in life…He wants to give you that new beginning you need to have a great life!  We have experienced many setbacks and failures throughout our lives. Sometimes, we allow these mistakes, these setbacks and failures, to enslave us to the point that we never enjoy the full life that God has given us to enjoy.

In John 10:10 Jesus said, "I have come that you might have life and have it more abundantly." Then he goes on to tell us that there is an adversary (called the Devil) that seeks to steal, kill and destroy that life. The Devil will remind us of our past in order to keep us from enjoying the life that God gave us to live. The Devil does not want you to have that foundation for a new beginning!

The good news is that God says, "I want you to have a fresh start in life!  I want you to have a new beginning!  I want to do something new in your life!" Aren't you glad that God wants to do something new in your life? Doesn't it make you excited to know that God desires to give you a fresh start, a new beginning in life? What all of us here need is a fresh start, a new beginning with God. Now who here on New Year's Day (after you finished partying it up), brings in a New Year and says you're starting something new this year? It may be something like, "I am going to lose weight" or "I am going to stop smoking this year" or "I am going to grow in my relationship with God."  Maybe it's "I am going to pray more, read my bible more and get more involved in my church" or  "I'm going to spend more quality time with my family."  These are the things we said we were going to start…and maybe we did start, but did not carry them out for one reason or another.

Isaiah 43:18 "The Lord says, `Forget about what has happened before. Do not think about the past. Instead, look at the new things I'm going to do."  Listen to what God is saying in this verse.  Forget about what's happened before. He says don't think about the past. It's over. The book's closed on it.  I am going to give you a formula I found that will help you with your new start, your Foundation for a New Beginning…

YOU NEED TO START HERE – with "START":

S = STOP making excuses!
Proverbs 28:13 "A man who refuses to admit his mistakes can never be successful. But if he confesses and forsakes them he gets another chance."

T = TAKE an inventory of your life.
Galatians 3:4 "You have experienced many things. Were all those experiences wasted? I hope not."

A = ACT in faith!
Matthew 9. "According to your faith it will be done to you."

R = RE-FOCUS your thoughts.
Proverbs 4:23 "Be careful how you think. Your life is shaped by your thoughts."

T = TRUST God!
Zechariah 4:6 "You will not succeed by your own strength or power but by My Spirit, says the Lord."

This is your start for a great foundation for a new beginning in your new life with Christ!

May God Richly Bless You!
